Barnards
Lodge provides comfortable and affordable bed and breakfast,
cottage and lodge accommodation in a spectacular setting with some
of Greyton's best attractions at your doorstep. If you are feeling
the need to get away from the city to the fresh country air and
beautiful scenery but don’t really feel like roughing it,
Barnards Lodge will provide all the city comforts and the
pampering you deserve.
Accommodation
Lodge Rooms are bed and breakfast accommodation. These
rooms are all en-suite with a shower. Whether the aim is for a
romantic holiday or a weekend getaway, Barnards looks forward to
welcoming all guests to a relaxed and pleasant stay over at our
Greyton accommodation venue.
Cottages (four) are situated at the top end of our
property. Two of these cottages are self catering and two B
& B accommodation. These cottages are set amongst weeping
willow trees, and yet still provide all the comforts that a
guest would need. These four accommodation cottages offer
luxuriously equipped bedrooms and linen with en-suite bathrooms.
The views overlook Barnards and the swimming pool area on the
one side and the Riviersonderend Mountains on the other side.
The downstairs areas are equipped with fireplace, lounge area
with TV as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The
upstairs area consists of queen size bed, cupboard, desk and
en-suite bathroom. Two cottages have a bath and shower and two
have a shower only. There is a parking area for guests outside
the cottages. Guests in these cottages can still enjoy all the
facilities of Barnards, such as the swimming pool, lounge area
with large Plasma TV and our renowned bar area. These cottages
can sleep two guests but a single bed can be brought in if there
is a third guest.
Dining
We offer stylish dining in our beautifully decorated 30 seater
restaurant. Soft lighting, stylish décor, and air conditioned for
those hot summer nights adds to an unforgettable dining
experience. Enjoy a glass of red wine, carefully selected from our
extensive wine list, whilst relaxing in front of our romantic
fireplace. In summer time, the restaurant overflows onto our front
“stoep” where one may enjoy a cocktail from the bar, and
lazily watch the village life pass by. Another alternative would
be to relax in one of the courtyards, whilst admiring the water
feature made from pebbles, and admiring the stars above. In
keeping with our country city fusion, the food at Barnards can be
best described as delicious, hearty and traditional but,
definitely with a twist. Our breakfasts, lunches and dinners are
always fresh and healthy and are also available as take-away.
Facilities
Guests may enjoy a variety of delectable dishes, relax in one of
the courtyards or lounge lazily alongside the pool. Linger in the
lounge area or at the bar and enjoy a cozy fireplace and
impressive décor, or even partake in a game of Cluedo or
Backgammon. Come and watch all your favorite sports on our big
screen Plasma TV with DSTV or even connect to our wireless hotspot
for checking your e-mails. City sophistication and country comfort
together with excellent service and affordable rates, makes
Barnards accommodation the ideal getaway.
